The Computational Genomics group at IBM's Computational Biology Center is led by Dr. Laxmi Parida. Our efforts are focused on the use of computational techniques to solve problems from molecular biology. A large part of our work revolves around  mathematical modeling and algorithmics in this general area.

Our role in the project is to map genetic variations in Cacao via SNP discovery, as well as quality improvements by identifying errors introduced during the sequencing and assembly process.
