Welcome to the IBM home page on the Cacao Genome Database
The Bioinformatics and Pattern Discovery group at IBM's Computational Biology Center is led by Dr. Isidore Rigoutsos. Our efforts are focused on the use of computational techniques to solve problems from molecular biology. A large percentage of our work revolves around various aspects of the problem of pattern discovery and the application of this category of methods to solve problems from the biological context. For more information please visit the group's homepage.
Our role in the project is to map genetic variations in Cacao via SNP discovery, as well as quality assurance by identifying errors introduced during the sequencing and assembly process.
