CUGI

The Clemson University Genomics Insitute (CUGI) led by Drs. Keith Murphy and Christopher Saski, specializes in the development of genomic and bioinformatic tools and services for the life science community.  A primary focus is on the discovery and functional analysis of important genes, networks, and genomic regions from virtually all forms of life using an integrated suite of biological tools.

Our role in this project is to develop a genetically anchored physical framework for the cacao genome, and assess targeted sequencing strategies through BAC pooling and whole genome simulation studies.
